Student Rating of Teaching (SRT)
Transitioning to the New Student Rating of Teaching Form
A new Student Rating of Teaching form will be used this spring to assess teaching at the U.
Three, one-hour informational sessions were held to introduce faculty and instructional staff to the contents of the form, how it will be scored, resources for supporting instructional development, and how to document the results.

Note to instructors from the Provost's Office:
During spring semester 2008, as the University transitions to the faculty-senate approved Student Rating of Teaching questions, all student rating forms on the Twin Cities campus will be distributed in hard-copy format only. Please contact your department administrator to obtain the new paper SRT forms instead.
Classes that are delivered online will still be allowed to use online evaluations.
If you are teaching an online course, please contact eval@umn.edu.
We will work with faculty governance regarding future formats for the evaluation questionnaires.

Student Ratings of Teaching Theatrical Sketches
On Thursday, April 17, 12-1:30 at 402 Walter Library, the Theater for Teaching and Learning will present a series of short theatrical sketches related to student ratings of teaching. Afterwards, a facilitator will lead a lively discussion about the research surrounding teaching evaluations and how they can be used to improve one's teaching. No registration necessary.
