Enrollment Determination for the Purposes of Reporting the Student Rating of Teaching
This article describes how we at the Office of Measurement Services collect enrollment information for the Student Rating of Teaching (SRT), and how we compute response rate for each course. It will enumerate some of the challenges associated with that task, and solutions in place to generate the most accurate report possible. New Student Rating of Teaching Form:
A Message from the Chairs of the Faculty Consultative Committee and Committee on Educational Policy
Dear Colleagues,
In the next few weeks you will be giving your students the new Student Rating of Teaching form. In addition to a revised set of core questions (which were approved by the Senate Committee on Educational Policy, the Faculty Consultative Committee, and the Faculty Senate), you will find a revised set of student-release questions (which were approved by the Student Senate and the Senate Committee on Educational Policy). The student-release questions were selected to provide useful information about your course to future students. Both sets of questions are a significant improvement over previous questions on the Student Rating of Teaching form.
We look forward to hearing about your experiences with the new form.
